Production
In my workshop, I produce a faience with stoneware color, on the potter wheel or with rolling tools, by stamping or molding.
I choose a red clay, finely mixed with chamotte, which can be smooth or rough as the grains of chamotte outcrops. It cooks and enables beautiful surface effects with the imprints I like to make on my satin enamels.
My initial and enamel firings are made at 1000°C and 980°C in an electric oven. The enamel is essentially made by soaking, allowing it to live differently according to the thickness of the surface of my pieces.
Some production can also be made on demand to fill specific needs. For example, I made street signs for the town of Saint Paul lez Durance, but also tiles to repair a pigeon-house for the company ACROPOSE.
